The book is badly written and full of mistakes, e.g. page 227 where the same sentence appears twice under different headings. Also in Section 8 "Application of Option Pricing Theory in Investment Decision" (page 209) the Question is on the Call Option, while it should be on Short Put. And these are only examples of the numerous mistakes. In their rush to publish it fast they had no time to check it properly.
